Kasumi Tendo is serving tea and biscuits to a nervous wreck named Richard Lawson when Ranma Saotome turns up and frees Richard from his punishment. Once Richard is gone Ranma congratulates Kasumi on her fine acting that has taken Richard to the edge of sanity and kept him there for a year. However Kasumi is concerned that Richard hasn't learnt his lesson about writing fan fiction and hands Ranma a copy of some of Richard's more recent writing, which leaves Ranma extremely angry. Elsewhere Richard realises that he is in fact not home, but still in Nerima where he immediately runs into Nuku Nuku. She appears to forgive him for a story he wrote that essentially killed her, but Richard fins this was a ploy and she has used a device to knock him out. Later it turns out that Nuku Nuku has returned home and made an android cat, reverse engineering the process that created her. When the cat appears to read his scientific notes Nuku Nuku's father realises that there is a human trapped in the body of the cat.
